Federal complaint texts on these trucks describe a low-brake-fluid warning followed within a few miles by the pedal sinking to the floor and a loss of braking -- a rare case where a defect is scoped to this engine, and a safety item, not a driveability annoyance.

Check — Run the VIN through Ford / NHTSA recall lookup and confirm 20V332000 shows completed; on the test drive check for a firm brake pedal, correct fluid level, and any brake-fluid warning lamp.

Charge-air-cooler (intercooler) condensation is the signature driveability fault of the gen-1 3.5L EcoBoost: after an extended highway cruise in humid or damp weather, water that pools in the intercooler gets ingested on the next hard acceleration and causes an intermittent misfire/stumble and a brief loss of power under load.
